The marten and cat repellent belt is made of V2A stainless steel (1.4301) and is 2.5 mm in diameter. It is ideal for mounting on downpipes. This helps to prevent martens from climbing up the downpipe and onto the roof. The marten and cat repellent belt is approx. 68 cm long in total for mounting and consists of 30 individual elements, which means that it can also be used on trees to prevent cats from climbing trees (to get to breeding birds). A maximum of 2 DN 100 downpipes can be protected with one delivery unit. Installation: Gently press the two sides together and insert into the back of the next element. Continue connecting all elements together until the desired circumference is reached. Finally, connect the belt to the spring unit when mounting it on trees and fall ears (it will snap into place). When mounting on the downpipe, note that the 360° mounting is not possible as on trees and the ends must be fixed with the supplied spring elements). Mount the marten and cat repellent belt with the longer legs pointing downwards. The installation height should be above 2.50 m so that there is no risk of injury! Please check regularly that the defence belt is correctly seated! (The black caps were only included with the galvanised predecessor model.)
