Surfaces that are too dry or acidic delay or prevent curing, whereas higher humidity levels and alkaline surfaces have an accelerating effect. Due to the vapour pressure of the liquid adhesive, slowly curing excess material around the bonded area can lead to a white deposit (blooming effect). This consists of adhesive vapours that are curing. These can be removed, for example, with isopropanol or acetone. However, care must be taken to ensure that the surfaces of the parts to be cleaned are also resistant to these solvents. Blooming can be prevented or reduced by using the adhesive sparingly, ensuring sufficient humidity and ventilating the workplace. Area of application Due to its flexibility, the cyanoacrylate structural adhesive is particularly suitable for applications subject to alternating thermal and mechanical stresses. Further special features include high impact and peel resistance, even under dynamic loads. In addition, Klebfix FLEX has better resistance to moisture, water and steam than conventional cyanoacrylate adhesives. Thanks to its short-term temperature resistance up to +140°C, the instant adhesive can also be used to bond electronic components to printed circuit boards that subsequently have to pass through a solder bath. It is also particularly suitable for use in loudspeaker construction. Instructions Surfaces must be clean, dry and free of grease. For pre-treatment, see the technical data sheet.
