The product
The electrical system uses continuous current pulses to effectively prevent pigeons from perching
pigeons from perching on cornices, window sills, parapets, etc. The stainless steel rods (ø 2.0 mm)
are held by approx. 28 mm high UV-stabilised plastic humps, which are attached with our
OttoColl special adhesive.
The electrical system is approx. 25 mm wide and prevents pigeons from perching over a maximum width of 100 mm.
The principle
The current impulse is generated by a current impulse generator. The harmless electric shock
is unpleasant for the pigeons and thus prevents them from perching again.
The system can optionally be fitted with a lightning protection choke.
The assembly
At least 2 days should be planned for installation:
On the first day, the surface should be cleaned so that it is free of grease and dust.
The bumps are glued on at intervals of approx. 30 cm (corresponds to 3 bumps per metre) using our special OttoColl adhesive.
It is not necessary to screw on the bumps.
On the second day, the stainless steel rods are inserted and the connection to the surge generator is made.
The surge generator must be connected on site and should be installed protected from the weather, ideally inside the building.

The connection to the stainless steel rods is made exclusively with the high-insulation cable:
power on the approach side, earth on the rear side. In principle, a closed circuit is not necessary.
If the system is installed over several storeys, the connection is also made with the insulation cable.
The rods are connected to each other using connecting springs. These should only be pushed 50% into the spring so that they have enough air to equalise tension and compression.
For longer distances, an expansion loop should be created with the high insulation cable at intervals of 10 metres.
Assembly instructions:
- The rods must be firmly fixed to the first and last plastic humps in front of and behind the hump holder.
- The rods must be able to move horizontally, i.e. the springs to be used should only be placed on the rods for half of the total spring length.
- When connecting two rods in front of corners, an additional hump may need to be fitted to provide sufficient support for the wire. Alternatively, you can also use the long wire for the corner area and make the extension in the straight section.
